Sean Young alleges Harvey Weinstein flashed her; reveals Blade Runner 2049 disappointment

The notoriously outspoken Blade Runner actress Sean Young, whose career deflated in the midst of industry misogyny and several infamous incidents of questionable public behaviour, has revealed that Harvey Weinstein once flashed her while working on a film produced by his former production company Miramax.

Speaking to the Dudley and Bob with Matt Show Podcast, Young recalled an incident on the set of an erotic thriller she shot in 1992.

“I made a movie with Harvey Weinstein, Love Crimes, which didn’t end up being a good movie,” she said. “But I personally experienced him pulling his you-know-what out of his pants in order to shock me, and my basic response was, ‘You know, Harvey, I really don’t think you should be pulling that thing out, it’s not very pretty.’ And then leaving, and then never having another meeting with that guy again, because it was like, ‘What on earth?’”

Young also revealed the details behind her CGI-assisted cameo in Blade Runner 2049, in which Jared Leto unveils a lookalike of Young’s replicant character Rachael. Young revealed that she was on set during filming, but that the experience left her feeling like a “dinosaur”.

“I got paid, I got flown out there,” she said. “I think honestly it was an Alcon Entertainment insurance policy, because I think to not put me in the movie would be kind of strange. And I’m not, in my personal opinion, in it enough, [because] the whole storyline is about my character from the original.
